Join Richard Flood, Director of Special Projects & Curator at Large, for a visit to the Tribeca studio of artist Trevor Paglen. Paglen’s work deliberately blurs lines between science, contemporary art, journalism, and other disciplines to construct unfamiliar, yet meticulously researched ways to see and interpret the world around us. Recently, he has photographed the CIA and the NSA to document surveillance efforts and released the resulting images to the public, thereby challenging not only government secrecy, but also the concept of what is visible and invisible. Kindly RSVP by Wednesday April 9 to Clare Quinlan at cquinlan@newmuseum.org or 212.219.1222 ×270.
