Join New Museum Teaching Artist Rosed Serrano to consider questions and themes of aging, waiting, and embodiment through the lens of artist Lorraine O’Grady. In this Live Virtual Workshop, Rosed will guide you and fellow creatives through an overview of O’Grady’s work, then lead everyone through a mindfulness practice and reflective writing exercises. No prior writing experience is necessary!
To ensure a safe space for conversation, which sometimes includes heavy and sensitive topics, virtual conversations are recorded only for internal, documentary purposes and will not be shared after the program.
While the Museum continues construction of our building expansion, virtual workshops take up themes and ideas from artists who have presented at the New Museum over our 47-year history. This workshop is inspired by the Museum’s 2017 program “Who’s Afraid of the New Now?: Simone Leigh & Lorraine O’Grady.”
We strive to make our programs as accessible as possible. For full accessibility information, including services available by request, please click here.
