In celebration of the publication of Bowery Artist Tribute Vol. 4, join us for a neighborhood walking tour exploring the Bowery’s rich artistic history. Bowery Artist Tribute, an initiative of the Education and Public Engagement Department at the New Museum, chronicles the artists who have lived and worked on or near the Bowery over the past sixty years. On this interactive tour, learn about the Bowery’s beginnings, its fall into disrepute, and its reemergence as a neighborhood for artists following World War II.
