Join Natalie Bell, Curatorial Associate, at the studio of artist Tom Burr. Burr emerged in the early 1990s in New York and Europe with sculptural installations engaging physical site as well as thematics of public space and identity. Burr has had numerous solo exhibitions at institutions including Secession, Vienna, the Sculpture Center, New York, Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel, and the Whitney Museum, New York, among others. His work is included in private and institutional collections, including MOCA, Los Angeles, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, the Ludwig Museum, Cologne, MuMOK, Vienna, and the New York Public Library, among numerous others.
