Join Lauren Cornell, Curator, for a visit to the Williamsburg studio of Uri Aran. Aran (b. Israel, 1977) is an imaginative storyteller who evokes inchoate fictions through sculpture, video, and large-scale installation. His work has been exhibited internationally at the Jewish Museum of Belgium, MoMA P.S.1, the High Line, and Sculpture Center, New York; Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Israel; and LAX Art, Los Angeles. Aran just completed solo projects at Frieze, New York, and Gavin Brown’s enterprise, and will open a show of new work, some of which will be on view in his studio, at the Kunsthalle Zürich in February 2013. RSVP by January 10 to Lindsay Casale at lcasale@newmuseum.org or 212.219.1222 ×270.
