Get Weird: Experimental and Freaky Jams
The New Museum presents a monthly series of performances featuring experimental and freaky jams. Expect anything from dusted-off salsa to psychedelic harmonies, performed by unknown legends and young-gun mavericks. Get Weird takes place on the Third Thursday of each month. Artists will be announced one month prior to performances.

Night School (January 2008 - February 2009)
An artist commission in the form of a temporary school. The yearlong program uses the Museum as a site to engage the public. Seminars, workshops, screenings, and lectures explore thematic components addressed from the perspective of ongoing research and production, and constitute the core structure of the School.

Propositions
Propositions is a public forum that explores ideas in development. Inspired by the scientific method of hypothesis, research, and synthesis, each two-day seminar explores a topic of current investigation in an invited speaker's own artistic or intellectual practice. Over the course of a seminar session, these developing ideas are presented to the public, responded to, "researched," and discussed to propel the ideas forward in unique ways.
